SEDONA 2021

Preparing for your PLANTSTRONG RETREAT

This retreat is designed to be a wonderful, life-changing, and intensive program.  

We choose to host this event in the quiet tranquility of Black Mountain because this beautiful area is a fitting place to experience change and thoughtful introspection. We sincerely hope that you will leave this retreat with a new perspective on life, food, and yourself. 

We start each morning with exercise, followed by a clean, plantstrong breakfast.  Our interactive classroom sessions begin after breakfast, and continue until lunch.  After lunch, we are back in the classroom until 2:00 or 3:00 pm, after which we have a few hours of break and optional activities (small group sessions, hiking, beginner meditation, yoga).  

A hands-on cooking demo and dinner take place each night, followed by dinner and a variety of fun programs and activities.  

During your free time we encourage you to explore the retreat, engage in the variety of outdoor adventures that the retreat offers, or contemplate the knowledge learned that day.  There are a vast array of things to do, and it is a place for you to unplug and unwind, as you will hopefully find and experience. 

Travel & Ground Transportation

You may book flights into Charlotte International Airport (2 hours from retreat) or Asheville Regional Airport (20 minutes from retreat). We do not provide ground transportation for this retreat but there is free parking if you choose to rent a car.

Check In

Check-in for the PLANTSTRONG Retreat will be from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Tuesday, March 1st 2022.  Our program will begin promptly at 5:30 pm with dinner, then orientation will take place at 7:00 PM. You will receive a map of the retreat upon arrival.

Participant Questionnaire

Before you arrive, each participant will be asked to complete a questionnaire and provider protocol letter. This will allow our team to prepare for your arrival, and in case your provider needs to be contacted regarding any updates to your medications, we would like to be prepared. We take the safety of our immersion guests very seriously and will want to be prepared in case of any emergency.

  •   Flashlight or headlamp (cell phone flashlight works!)

  •   Book or something to do during free time

COVID Policy and Protocol

Please review this page before deciding to attend our retreat. We appreciate your help in keeping our community safe. If you have any questions, please email us at events@plantstrong.com.

Prior to Arrival: All participants attending this retreat will be required to provide either (1) proof of complete vaccination cycle at least 14 days prior to arrival or (2) written proof of negative COVID test 3-5 days before arrival. If you test positive for COVID ahead of the retreat, written proof will be required and your full registration will be transferred to 2022.

Entry/Exit: We use an Entry/Exit Method in our COVID protocols. What this means is that every building and activity has an “entry point” and an “exit point” and we sanitize at both of these.

Daily temperature checks: The retreat team will conduct daily temperature checks during morning check-in.

Mask Wearing: For this retreat, we will be wearing masks frequently. They will be required anytime we are in a large group or anytime we are indoors, except when eating or drinking. Indoor activities will require masks of all attendees except the instructor, who will maintain adequate distance from all participants. We ask that all participants follow the rules regarding masking procedures.

Outdoors: You will not be required to mask if you are outdoors. Most fitness classes and many other activities will be held outdoors.

Dining Hall/Meals: Meals will be served buffet-style with sanitation stations placed throughout the serving area. Please wear your mask when going through the buffet line.

Refund Policy

Your deposit or payment is fully refundable, less a $150 credit card processing fee, up to 60 days before the retreat. Cancellation requests must be emailed to events@plantstrong.com. We have the right to cancel this retreat for any reason. If we cancel this retreat, all payments will be returned to registrants.

We appreciate you registering for one of our wonderful retreats, and look forward to seeing you there. However, we recognize that life can get in the way, and things come up that may prevent you from attending. That being said, we plan these events well in advance, and while we would love to be able to offer everyone a refund at any time, sadly that isn’t possible.

PLEASE READ THIS CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY CAREFULLY BEFORE REGISTERING. BY CHECKING THE BOX, YOU ARE ACKNOWLEDGING THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREED TO THE PLANTSTRONG CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY.

If you need to cancel after completing registration, please email us right away at events@plantstrong.com. Please tell us your name, the email address you registered with, and which event you registered for. All refunds are subject to a $150 non refundable cancellation fee for credit card processing and handling.

PLANTSTRONG is unable to offer refunds within 60 days of an event. If you need to cancel less than 60 days prior to your event, please email us as soon as possible, and we will issue you a 50% credit toward a future event.

You may transfer your registration to another person at any time – meaning, if it turns out you cannot attend an event you have registered for, you are welcome to send a family member or friend in your place. Please note, however, that they must attend the event you registered for; transfers between events are not permitted.
