Apple Pie Pizza

Apple Pie made PLANTSTRONG! The comforting essence of apples and cinnamon make this recipe a wintertime favorite. Start with a wholesome, whole grain, oil-free pizza crust. Bake and serve warm for breakfast with a side of greens, or deck it out for dessert with sweet additions like sliced dates or dried cranberries.

Ingredients

  • 1 PLANTSTRONG 100% Whole Grain Stone Baked Pizza Crust
  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 3 large apples – sliced thin
  • 1 ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ⅓ cup PLANTSTRONG All-American Apple Pie Granola
  • 1 lemon – zested
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to Bake at 375°F.
  2. Spoon applesauce onto crust.
  3. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
  4. Layer apple slices in a circular pattern.
  5. Using a pastry brush, brush apples with maple syrup.
  6. Zest the lemon over the entire pizza.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
  8. Add PLANTSTRONG granola and bake for 10-15 more minutes, or until apples are soft.
