Epic PLANTSTRONG Brats

Introducing our recipe for whole food, plant-based brats made from oats, beans, seeds, and spices, and without any oil, animal products, refined sugar, or excessive sodium.

Ingredients

  • 1 package PLANTSTRONG Skillet Burger Mix of Choice
  • 6 ½ - 7 oz hot broth or water
  • Brown rice wrappers

Directions

  1. Combine skillet burger mix + 6 ½ - 7 oz hot broth in a bowl. The mixture should come together but still be soft. Cover with a towel and let sit for 10 min.
  2. Give mixture a stir and then transfer to the fridge to chill for 15-20 minutes or until the mixture is cool.
  3. Place brown rice wrapper in warm water to soften. Transfer to a cutting board. Add ⅓ cup of burger mixture to wrap. Form mixture in the shape of a hot dog. Fold wrapper over. Fold sides in. Roll up. Repeat with rest of mix.
  4. Let brats chill in the fridge for 15-20 minutes to set. Make sure to NOT let the wrappers touch each other or they will stick.
  5. Heat a grill pan or grill over medium high heat. Add brats to the grill. Let cook for a few minutes on each side, until golden brown and internal temp reaches 165 F.
  6. Add your brats to a hot dog bun and add your toppings of choice!
