Ingredients
- 1 bag PLANTSTRONG Sweet Curry Burger Mix
- 6 oz hot water or broth
- 2 tbsp oil-free hummus
- Cucumber, diced
- Tomato, diced
- Pickled onions
- Whole wheat pita
- ¼ cup tahini
- Juice from ½ lemon
- 1 clove garlic, grated
- 2-3 tbsp ice cold water, depending on preferred thickness
- 1 pinch sea salt, to taste
Directions
- Prepare Sweet Curry Burger mix to package instructions. Instead of forming the mixture into patties, form it into small balls.
- Cook falafel in the air fryer for 10-15 minutes at 365℉, or the oven at 400℉ until crispy.
- In a bowl, whisk together ingredients for the tahini sauce. Yes, the water needs to be ice cold! This helps with the consistency.
- Assemble your pita: spread oil-free hummus, add falafel balls, cucumber, tomato, pickled onion, and drizzle with tahini sauce.
