Best served fresh out of the oven with marinara sauce.
Ingredients

1 8-ounce package of white mushrooms, washed and dried

2 cups oil-free pasta sauce

1/3 cup corn meal

1/3 cup flax meal

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Reserve 1 cup of the pasta sauce for dipping. Dip the mushrooms into remaining cup of sauce to coat. Then, roll the sauce-covered mushrooms into the dry mixture until completely covered.
Place on a parchment paper or foil-covered baking sheet. Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve with remaining pasta sauce for dipping (or your favorite plantstrong dressing or sauce).
Note
Try switching up pasta sauce for hummus thinned with water, or salsa, or your favorite dressing. Also try this with onion rings - dip the onions in plant milk then the cornmeal mixture.
